**Job Details**

We are looking for a Pediatric Psychiatrist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical expertise and knowledge to most areas of young people's mental health. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a specialized Child and Family Unit that has a 20-bed child and adolescent mental health inpatient facility.

**Responsibilities**

  • Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to young people with mental health issues
  • Work closely with the service user, their family/whanau, and carers to promote recovery
  • Be involved in on-call roster of child and adolescent psychiatrists from across the Auckland region
  • Thrive professionally in providing clinical expertise and knowledge to most areas of young people's mental health

**Requirements**

  • Registerable with the New Zealand Medical Council to practice Psychiatry
  • FRANZCP or equivalent qualification
  • Experience and qualified in child and adolescent psychiatry
  • Excellent working knowledge of the NZ mental health field including relevant legislation
