Rocket Lab is a global leader in launch and space systems, with a focus on enabling some of the most ambitious and vital space missions globally.

Our team is responsible for designing and testing our new large rocket Neutron, including its structures and components, as well as setting up its launch pads and test sites across the United States.

The Flight Analysis Engineer II will be responsible for developing methods and assumptions for flight safety analysis, maintaining in-house flight analysis tools, executing simulations, and quantifying failure probabilities using statistical models.

This role requires a strong background in programming languages, including Python and C++, as well as experience with configuration management and version control.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing methods and assumptions for flight safety analysis
  • Maintaining in-house flight analysis tools, including trajectory and performance evaluation, debris modeling, and reliability analysis
  • Executing simulations, including 6 DoF and 3 DoF models
  • Quantifying failure probabilities using statistical models

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification or 5+ years' experience in engineering analysis

  • Familiarity with configuration management and version control
Preferred Requirements:
