We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Personal Care Worker to join our team at Gisborne Oaks, a residential aged care home providing exceptional care to 78 residents.
This is a maximum term role of six months, covering maternity leave. As a PCW, you will be responsible for assisting residents with daily activities, observing and reporting any changes in their condition, and planning social and lifestyle activities within the home.
- Daily Activities: Assist residents with tasks such as bathing, dressing, and feeding, ensuring their dignity and comfort are maintained.
- Observation and Reporting: Monitor residents' health and report any changes or concerns to the Nurse on shift, ensuring timely intervention and quality care.
- Social and Lifestyle Activities: Plan and support residents with engaging activities, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A genuine passion for caring and building rapport with clients.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing resident needs and safety.
- A respect for diversity and inclusivity, valuing the uniqueness of each resident.
- A minimum of a Cert III in Individual Support or a related qualification, with current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
