About the Job
We are seeking a Clinical Geneticist to join our team. As a Clinical Geneticist, you will provide specialist genetic services, supporting patients through assessment, diagnosis, and genetic counselling. You will also collaborate with genetic counsellors, referrers, and laboratory experts to ensure high-quality, patient-centred care.
About You
To be successful as a Clinical Geneticist, you will bring:
- Registration (or eligibility for registration) with the Medical Council of New Zealand in Clinical Genetics.
- Experience in genomic medicine and multidisciplinary genomic meetings (MDM/MDT).
- A strong commitment to equity, Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and culturally responsive care.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and patient-centred counselling skills.
- A passion for education, mentoring, and research in genetic medicine.
