Archiland Ltd is seeking a skilled Architectural Draftsperson

We are a leading provider of architectural services in New Zealand, and we are currently looking for a talented Architectural Draftsperson to join our team.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate technical drawings, blueprints, and plans for buildings, structures, and construction projects. They will work closely with architects, engineers, and construction managers to ensure that design elements are accurately represented in the drafting process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpreting and understanding plans, sketches, ideas, and specifications to translate them into detailed working plans
  • Producing accurate technical drawings, blueprints, and plans for buildings, structures, and construction projects
  • Reviewing and ensuring that plans comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards
  • Indicating materials to be used, dimensions, time scales, and procedures for construction
  • Site visits when necessary to confirm work and materials are in compliance with the law
  • Modifying and updating drawings as changes are made during the construction process
Requirements
  • Diploma or above qualification in architectural technology or a related field
  • Or proven minimum 3-year experience as an architectural draftsperson or a similar role
  • Proficiency in Archi Cad
  • Strong understanding of New Zealand building codes and standards
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to produce accurate and high-quality work
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with professionals
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment, especially under pressure
  • Self-motivated, conscientious, team player
  • Great time management and organizational skills
