Job Description
As a Clinical Nurse Specialist/Outreach Nurse, you will be responsible for providing specialist nursing care and expertise within the Emergency Department, as well as delivering an outreach nursing service for Taupo Hospitals Inpatient Unit and Birthing Unit.
You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to facilitate care for complex presentations to the Emergency Department.
Requirements
- Advanced nursing knowledge to conduct patient assessment, care and management.
- Clinical Leadership, able to undertake coaching and teaching.
- Registered Nurse with a current Nursing Council of New Zealand practicing certificate.
- Post Graduate Diploma in Nursing inclusive of an assessment and bioscience paper.
- Recent hospital clinical practice – minimum of 3 years Emergency Department experience.
- Worked as Emergency CNS.
- Working towards Nurse Practitioner Scope of practice.
- Has or working towards Masters in Nursing.
- Has experience in leadership.
- Has experience in Rural Emergency Department.
- Has experience with neonates.
