Job Summary: The maintenance technician interacts with production workers, production management, quality management, engineering and plant management to keep all equipment in the building in good working condition. This person is responsible for building maintenance as well as production equipment.

Responsibilities:
Minimize machine downtime by responding to equipment breakdowns quickly and getting equipment back online, or swapping a spare machine as quickly as possible.
Minimize machine downtime by setting up new jobs quickly.

Maintenance Program: Proactively maintain all equipment in good running condition by means of an effective preventive maintenance program.

Record Keeping: Maintain records using the Daily Maintenance log and Preventive Maintenance data bases.

Spare Parts Management: Keep spare parts area clean and organized. Order spare parts and maintain records using parts order forms.

Inspections: Conduct and document emergency lighting, fire extinguisher and emergency door inspections.

Cleanliness: Leave all worksites clean and organized upon completion of work.

Process Improvements: Recommend process or equipment improvements, utilizing quality and engineering resources to gain appropriate approvals.

Communication: Communicate with suppliers and contractors where assigned.
Communicate internally using E-Mail and attachments in WORD and EXCEL.

Prioritization: Manage priorities appropriately.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED is required, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in injection molding setup and processing.
Equivalent education and experience will be considered.
Ability to operate forklift equipment.
Proficiency in using hand tools and performing light machining.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Commitment to personal and professional growth, with a willingness to keep skills and knowledge current.
Ability to plan and accomplish goals using experience and judgment across a variety of tasks.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to read and write in English.
Ability to work under time pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Maintain a positive and cooperative attitude, even under tight deadlines.
Authorized to work in the U.S. Fluency in additional languages is a plus.
Capable of performing basic physical tasks such as lifting to 50 lbs., reading, and using hands for typing and writing.
