About the Role
The primary objective of this position is to provide support and assistance to individuals with mental illness, enabling them to live independently in their communities. This involves working closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement personalized care plans.
The North Adult Community Psychiatric Service at Hillmorton Hospital offers a comprehensive range of services, including assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation programs. Our team consists of experienced professionals, including psychiatric nurses, consultant psychiatrists, occupational therapists, and social workers.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A valid driver's license, with preference given to those who can drive both manual and automatic vehicles
- Relevant qualifications in Mental Health, such as a Certificate or Diploma
- Significant experience in Community Mental Health delivery
- Strong commitment to Treaty of Waitangi principles and bi-cultural practice
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
