About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Vehicle Technician to join our dynamic team at a brand-new branch. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge LCV vehicles, including Mercedes-Benz, Fuso and Freightliner models.
The ideal candidate will possess strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills, as well as comprehensive knowledge of electronic/electrical circuits and systems. They will be able to perform maintenance and repairs on a variety of trucks and trailers, and stay up-to-date with the latest vehicle technology through ongoing training.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and become an integral part of a growing company. You will work closely with our experienced team to deliver top-tier service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve faults with precision and efficiency
- Perform maintenance and repairs on a variety of trucks and trailers
- Work with advanced electronic, electrical, hydraulic, and transmission systems
- Stay up-to-date with the latest vehicle technology through ongoing training
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Trade-certified Heavy Diesel Mechanic with relevant experience
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Comprehensive understanding of electronic/electrical circuits and systems
- Technically proficient in transmission and hydraulic systems
- Clean, current driver's license (additional classes or endorsements advantageous)
- High attention to detail and a commitment to excellence
Benefits
- 47.5-hour work week
- Overtime at 1.5 times normal rate
- Tool allowance: $1 for every hour worked
