About the Role

This is a unique opportunity for an Allied Health, Scientific and Technical student to gain experience in a healthcare setting.

As an Allied Health Assistant (AHA), you will join our team supporting services to provide care to clients within the Nelson or Marlborough Region.

  • You will work under the supervision of Registered Allied Health Scientific and Technical (AHST) Therapists to provide safe, efficient and effective AHA interventions.
  • The role will also include effective management of resources and equipment.
  • This is a fixed-term position working up to 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday.
About You
  • You will be a practical, well-organised and physically fit person with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • You'll have a friendly and welcoming manner with the ability to relate to a broad range of people of all ages.
  • It will also be important that you can work under direction, be a cooperative team player who is supportive of your colleagues, and work in a flexible, positive manner displaying an appropriate level of initiative.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Year 13 or above – NCEA Level 2 English and Maths (or equivalent)
  • A current full driver's licence
  • Prioritising a professional qualification in Allied Health, Scientific and Technical field
