Job Description

The role of a Registered Nurse at Ember Korowai Takitini involves providing quality nursing care to guests accessing the service. This includes ensuring quality mental health and wellbeing outcomes for guests in line with established philosophies and accepted best practice.

The nursing role will collaborate with guests and other key stakeholders, including WDHB staff and family/whanau, to ensure the very best treatment outcomes for guests during their stay with us at Piri Pono.

  1. The ideal candidate will have experienced their own mental distress and recovery.
  2. A qualification in nursing and hold a current registration/annual practicing certificate are required.
  3. The ability to work in a team environment and from a bicultural perspective is essential.
  4. Professionalism and good boundaries and ethics are expected.
  5. Experience working in the area of mental health and/or addictions (alcohol and other drugs) is preferred.
  6. A full NZ Drivers Licence and valid/Current work visa, residency, or citizenship are necessary.
