As a Principal Ecologist at SLR Consulting, you'll provide inspirational leadership to our Ecology & Marine Science team in Wellington. Key focuses include developing senior employees, business development, and technical excellence to deliver excellent work to clients.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Bringing established networks and proven ability to win work
- Delivering clear, precise reports
- Undertaking fieldwork activities and resourcing teams on projects
- Developing effective relationships with clients and internal team members
- Working in multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects across various sectors
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A degree in Ecology, Marine Science, or a related field
- Demonstrated consulting experience in Ecology or Marine Science with 12-15+ years of expertise
- Demonstrated experience winning, leading, and managing projects
- Experience in preparing impact assessments and environmental risk assessments
- Working knowledge of New Zealand environmental legislation and policies, standards, and guidelines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- New Zealand Citizenship or rights to work in New Zealand
- An excellent driving history and current driver's license
