About the Role

The HR Team at Canon New Zealand is responsible for delivering every aspect of the HR portfolio, from stakeholder management to employee relations. We're seeking a highly skilled Business Partner to join our team and support the success of our Canon Business Services division.

As a Business Partner, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with HR team members and client group stakeholders, as well as partnering with other teams to drive business outcomes. Your expertise will help inform and shape the development of HR initiatives that meet the needs of our client groups.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the business, its strategies, business priorities, issues and challenges to strategically partner and jointly meet objectives.
  2. Build and maintain effective professional relationships with HR team members and client group stakeholders.
  3. Partner with the Recruitment team to ensure timely and quality recruits into client groups.
  4. Partner with the Learning and Development team to implement initiatives to meet the needs of client groups.
  5. Support with the execution of HR operational objectives, including Policies, Processes, Procedures, Compliance, Leave Management, Performance Management, Remuneration.
  6. Coach and guide people leaders through employee relations matters, ensuring practical and fair solutions.
  7. Influence, advise and educate leaders in people and performance related issues and coach them to deliver key messages to their team members.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need to be a highly skilled and experienced HR professional with a proven track record of delivering business outcomes through strategic partnerships. You will need to be able to develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, as well as provide expert advice and guidance on HR-related matters.

You will also need to be able to manage multiple projects and issues at once, prioritise tasks effectively, and work collaboratively as part of a team. Experience gained in a blue-collar, retail or business process outsourcing environment would be highly regarded.
