Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Technical Leader in the Intelligence Directorate to lead an established team of technical analysts. As a Technical Leader, you will be responsible for developing and delivering advanced data analytics, utilising machine learning where appropriate, and engineering ETL pipelines. The team performs both data analysis and data engineering functions, driving the intelligence mission forward with innovative solutions.

Your key responsibilities will include designing data-driven solutions, providing technical guidance to staff, identifying projects that use unique datasets from various sources, and rapidly delivering new capabilities. You may also assist in coordinating the Intelligence Directorate's operational response to urgent or complex customer needs.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience in a line-management role with passion for developing people.
  • Data engineering, data analysis, software development, or system engineering background.
  • Strong background in machine learning and artificial intelligence.
  • Engagement with technical best practice to minimise technical debt across infrastructure.
  • Prioritisation of incoming work and requests effectively.
