About the role

We are seeking a skilled Capital Programme Scheduler to join our team at Wellington Water. As a key member of our Programme Practice Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that capital delivery projects are scoped and planned effectively.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in leading scheduling, planning, or related disciplines within the construction activity on large-scale programmes. You'll also possess excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to initiate and engage effectively at all levels, both internally and externally.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Project Managers and stakeholders to define project scope, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Track programme and project progress, identifying potential delays, and recommending corrective actions.
  • Ensure timelines align with budgetary and quality expectations.
  • Identify potential delays or risks and suggest corrective actions to ensure project success.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure milestones are met.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to management on project timelines, progress, and forecasts.
  • Continually collaborate with Project Leads and support ongoing planning activities.

About you

You will be an ideal fit for this role if you have a thorough understanding of best practice within infrastructure programmes of work, strong knowledge of scheduling methods, and the ability to interpret schedules, resource plans, and progress reports.

In addition, you will possess strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, excellent project reporting skills, and the ability to track and manage project risks and financial performance.
