Bricklayer Opportunity at United NZ Limited

We are seeking a skilled Bricklayer to join our team at United NZ Limited in Auckland. As a Bricklayer, you will be responsible for laying bricks in rows, designs, and shapes, and spreading mortar between joints.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand building plans and drawings to determine materials dimensions and installation procedures.
  • Laying bricks in rows, designs, and shapes, and spreading mortar between joints.
  • Embedding blocks in mortar and removing excess mortar.
  • Checking vertical and horizontal alignment.
  • Cutting, shaping, and polishing stones and bricks using machines and hand tools, and shaping bricks to fit irregular spaces.
  • Repairing and maintaining bricks, cement blocks, and related structures.
  • Designing and cutting monumental masonry and lettering.
  • Constructing walls using stone slabs and large masonry slab blocks.

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of relevant work experience in the same field or NZQF Level 4 qualification.
  • Good knowledge of Health and Safety Requirements.
  • Ability to pass random drug and alcohol tests.
  • Physical fitness.
