Salary

The salary for this role is $23.84 - $29.10 per hour, reflecting the importance of the position and the value we place on our staff.

Job Description

As a Community Mentor, you will be responsible for supporting clients with disabilities to engage in community activities of their choice. This may involve water-based therapy programs, ten-pin bowling, or attending local sporting events or live music shows, dependent on the individual needs of the clients.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide support to clients to participate in community activities
  2. Help clients explore their goals and aspirations
  3. Facilitate meaningful connections between clients and others

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Level 2-4 Health and Wellbeing Certificate (or equivalent)
  • Full clean driver's license
  • Desirable: experience and confidence at driving mobility vans
