Job DescriptionThis role involves performing routine maintenance, diagnostics, refurbishment, and general engineering in geothermal and hydro power generation. You will be responsible for completing critical measurements and carrying out precision alignments, working with large turbines, heavy rotating equipment, cranage, valves, pumps, fans, heat exchangers etc.
Your days may also include on-site general fabrication, rigging, slinging, dogging and using overhead gantries.
Required Skills and Qualifications- A level 4 trade qualification as a Fitter Turner, Fitter Machinist or equivalent
- Commitment to safe working practices and quality procedures
- An outside the box approach based on best practice standards
- Flexibility to work regular extended and flexible hours, as and when required, including periodic work outside of Taupo
- Ability to satisfactorily pass our pre-employment medical assessment including working at heights, confined spaces, with no restrictions to movement and be physically fit and active
