Tane Whakapiripiri Unit Overview

This unit provides 12 beds for mixed-gender patients who require minimum secure inpatient care. Our team works collaboratively to assess, treat, and assist in the rehabilitative recovery of our patients, incorporating Te Tiriti o Waitangi Principles and Te Whare Tapa Wha.

Key Responsibilities

We are seeking two Registered Nurses to join our team and provide nursing care of the highest quality. This includes:

  • Providing direct care to patients in accordance with their individual needs
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Supporting patients in their rehabilitation goals and promoting independence

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 2+ years of Mental Health Nursing experience
  • Current PDRP
  • Full NZ driver's licence
  • Cultural competence with a commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi

Additionally, you must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
