Cloud Data Architect

Databricks is the data and AI company powering modern analytics and AI applications. As a Sr. Solutions Engineer on our Digital Natives (DNB) team, you'll be at the forefront of shaping the future of data and AI.

You will be part of an immersive 12+ month residency program that provides hands-on experience working with top data engineering, data platform, and ML/AI teams. The goal is to develop mid-level technologists into skilled Solutions Architects through strategic rotations, collaboration, continuous learning, and problem-solving.

As a Sr. Solutions Engineer, your key responsibilities include:

• Partnering with the sales team to provide technical leadership and helping customers understand how Databricks can solve their business problems.
• Consulting on Data & AI architectures, implementing proof-of-concepts for strategic projects, spanning the Databricks platform and broader Data and AI ecosystem.
• Collaborating with fellow Solutions Architects, using your skills to support each other and our customers.

We're looking for candidates with 3+ years of experience in a data engineering, data science, technical architecture, or similar pre-sales/consulting role. Key requirements include comfort with programming in Python and SQL, experience building solutions with public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP), and expertise in Data Engineering technologies (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka) or Data Science and Machine Learning technologies (pandas, scikit-learn, pytorch, TensorFlow).

Databricks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The estimated salary range for this role is $115,700 - $204,700 USD per year, depending on factors such as job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications, and specific work location.
