Urban Planning Specialist

**Job Description**
Tangram is seeking a skilled Urban Planning Specialist to join their team. As an Urban Planning Specialist, you will play a key role in reviewing consent recommendations and providing technical planning support.
You will be responsible for supporting RMA-related processes, including hearings and Environment Court proceedings. Additionally, you will contribute to integrated planning solutions and service improvement projects.
In this role, you will collaborate with the Planning Policy team to ensure alignment between policy and consenting processes. You will also deliver a customer-focused pre-consent lodgement service.
**Requirements**
- A relevant tertiary qualification in planning or a related field.
- 3+ years' experience as a consents planner in either local government or the private sector (land use and subdivision).
- Statutory hearing experience and NZPI membership (or eligibility).
- A strong understanding of resource management legislation and best practices.
