General Practitioner Trainee Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated General Practitioner Trainee to join our team at Southern District Health Board. As a General Practitioner Trainee, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in various specialties, including Medicine, Surgery, and Emergency Department.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year post-graduate medical experience and be eligible for general or provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand. You must also be legally entitled to work in New Zealand and be able to communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing direct patient care in accordance with best practice guidelines and hospital policies
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Participating in on-call rosters and being available to provide emergency medical care when required
