Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Lead, Product Engineering to spearhead our product development efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing technologies through the medical device development cycle. Your primary objective will be to lead a team of engineers in translating technologies into tangible products, ensuring timely delivery and quality excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive engineering strategies to drive product development forward.
- Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders, vendors, and external partners to ensure seamless collaboration and knowledge transfer.
- Evaluate and mitigate risks associated with product development, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Leverage expertise in design for lean six sigma, quality through design, extreme programming, and systems engineering to enhance product performance and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain project timelines, establish risk registers, and oversee resource allocation.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you must possess a M.S in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Mechanical Design, coupled with 15+ years of experience in the medical device industry. Your portfolio should demonstrate expertise in areas such as design for lean six sigma, quality through design, extreme programming, and systems engineering. Additionally, you should have a solid understanding of regulatory standards, including ISO13485, ISO14971, 21 CFR Part 11, IEC 60601, IEC 62304, and AAMI standards applicable to medical devices and software.
