This prestigious position offers an exceptional opportunity for an accomplished Business Development professional to join our Auckland team.

Key Tasks:

  • Sell and promote Life Safety Products and Solutions to new and existing clients.
  • Grow new customer acquisitions through cold-calling and business development activities.
  • Match current suppliers with targeted verticals and onboard new suppliers to expand Life Safety and Rescue (LSR) product line, market share, and increase share of wallet.
  • Maintain customer retention, increased revenue and profitability, and customer satisfaction of assigned existing accounts.

Your Key Objectives:

  1. Achieve new customer growth acquisition targets through business development activities.
  2. Achieve customer retention, increased share of wallet, revenue and profitability, and Customer Satisfaction through managing Customer Relationships of existing Johnson Controls accounts.
  3. Maximise self-generated marketing leads, cross-sell and upsell customers with the full suite of LSR products.
  4. Develop and present major bid opportunities e.g. tenders.
  5. Present quotes to a high standard, adhering to JCI company standards regarding DOA process, layout, and content of presentations.
  6. Ensure all new development and market opportunities are maximised and pursued.
  7. Use company ERP and CRMS systems including but not limited to, Pronto, Salesforce.com, SimPRO.
  8. Participate in the One Team, One JCI approach, by actively working with and promoting Johnson Controls entire portfolio.
  9. Maintain the highest ethical, technical, and business standards in all activities.
  10. Follow all company policies and procedures.

Essential Requirements:

  • Degree qualification or higher are preferred, but not necessary.
  • At least 5 years experience in B2B sales and/or account management.
  • Basic knowledge of Life Safety Products and related solutions.
  • Strong leadership skills, collaboration with other department managers, and effective project management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to interact with both internal and external customers.
  • Self-motivated individual with strong work ethics and capacity to quickly grasp technical concepts.
