Tauranga Boys' College is renowned for its academic excellence and commitment to developing young athletes. Our comprehensive sports programme provides opportunities for students to excel in various disciplines, from learning to train to competing at a high level.

The Athlete Development Department is seeking an experienced Athletic Development Coach to join our team on a full-time basis. This role will play a vital part in supporting the long-term athletic development strategy for years 9-13, working closely with the Director of Sport, Head of Athlete Development, Lead Strength and Conditioning Coach, and Sports Coaches.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering programmes that cater to the needs of junior athletes, leading speed school, and supporting the PE faculty with strength and conditioning programmes aligned to Achievement standards. Key skills and experiences include practical experience with Athletic Development programmes, expertise in speed development, and suitable qualifications in the sports industry.

We are looking for someone with excellent communication and organisational skills, who can build strong relationships with athletes, coaches, and staff. The ability to work flexibly and think creatively is essential in this role.

The position is covered under the NZEI Support Staff in Schools Collective Agreement, and the successful candidate will be placed on the correct scale depending on their skills and experience.
