About the Role

The New Zealand Parliament is seeking a skilled and empathetic Community Liaison Specialist to join the team of MPs Tamatha Paul and Julie-Anne Genter in the Wellington Central Electorate/Community office.

This varied position involves providing community engagement and constituent services, building strong relationships with local groups and networks, and advocating for constituents at Ministerial level.

  • Liaise between the MP and the community, representing the MP where required.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local groups and networks to understand and respond to their needs.
  • Receive and investigate constituents' concerns and issues, meeting with constituents for further information where required.
  • Advocate for constituents at Ministerial level, with Government agencies, e.g. Work and Income, Immigration New Zealand, and with other business and community organisations where required.
