About the Role
We're excited to offer a rare opportunity for a residential Medical Imaging Technologist to train in MRI. This full-time position will provide you with both academic and practical training components, including formal tuition at a remote training facility and hands-on experience in our department, guided by a team of experienced MRI technologists.
Our service is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including a 1.5T Siemens Altea. While your focus will be on MRI, occasional work in general X-ray may be required post-qualification. To succeed in this role, you'll need to be highly organised, demonstrate the ability to balance academic and clinical demands, and consistently reflect our organisation's values in your everyday work.
About You
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- National diploma or degree in Medical Diagnostic Imaging or recognised New Zealand equivalent.
- Registration and current Annual Practising Certificate (APC) in the Diagnostic Imaging: General scope of practice and the MRI scope of practice issued by the NZ MRTB.
- Registered with tertiary centre for approved NZ MRTB MRI postgraduate course.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
