Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated psychiatrist to join our well-established Community Mental Health Team in Epsom. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will work across the Care and Recovery team and the Planned Acute Care team, providing comprehensive psychiatric assessments and treatment options to patients with serious mental illness and severe psychological disorders living in south-central Auckland.

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide medical input to the multidisciplinary team and manage your own caseload
  • Conduct home, community, and GP-based visits, as well as liaison
  • Work collaboratively with service users, their whanau, local communities, and other healthcare professionals

Requirements

  • Vocationally registered with the Medical Council of New Zealand
  • Hold a current Annual Practising Certificate or eligibility for one
  • A Post Graduate qualification in Psychiatry is preferred
  • Source verification of qualifications required for registration (if applicable)
