Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced cook to join our ski field kitchen crew, where the slopes meet the stovetop. As a member of our team, you will be involved in the daily preparation of food, producing high-quality products while adhering to all food hygiene practices and health and safety policies.

About the Role:

  • Preparation of menu items and ski area cuisine adhering to company recipes and head chef instructions to ensure consistency.
  • Mise-en-place is prepared fresh with adequate prep, in time for service.
  • Stock control and planning for variances in trading, minimisation of wastage.
  • Communicating with and serving customers.
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy section and kitchen.
  • Completing tasks and necessary record keeping required by the Food Control Plan.
  • Requesting stock via the Storeman or Supply Manager, and delivering to the kitchen.
  • Assisting in other areas of the department as required.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a commercial or high-volume kitchen is essential.
  • Qualifications are not essential, but any Food Safety or Basic Cookery certificate are desirable.
  • Must understand basic food safety practices.
  • Ability to make multitasking appear effortless.
  • A high level of personal presentation and hygiene.
