Role Description
This flexible role requires a compassionate and skilled Supply Teaching Assistant to support students with varying additional needs in a classroom environment. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work across a range of schools, gaining experience in different educational settings and helping students reach their full potential.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Support students with SEND in their learning, social development, and personal care
- Assist teachers with classroom management and lesson delivery, adapting to individual students' needs
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and school staff, promoting a supportive environment
- Monitor and record student progress, communicating updates with teaching staff
- Work collaboratively with school staff and parents to provide holistic support for students
Requirements
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND in an educational or care setting (preferred but not essential)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with students
- Adaptable and patient, with strong problem-solving skills
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one)
