Job Description: We're seeking an intermediate level Mechatronics Engineer to join our Solutions team, focusing on leveraging our core technology to create products for customers and markets. As a Mechatronics Engineer at Syft:

  • You will work across the business to specify, design, and deliver products as well as features to meet a range of industrial, environmental, and scientific applications.
  • Your core responsibilities include: Design and Develop – Create and integrate key components like transformers, power control, gas transmission, and vacuum systems. Build and Test – Prototype, validate, and troubleshoot new concepts and field issues. Cross-Functional Collaboration – Work with electronics, software, and mechanical teams for seamless integration. Documentation and Compliance – Maintain records for design, testing, and industry standards. Supplier and Production Support – Engage with suppliers, guide production teams, and train staff. Process and Product Improvement – Continuously refine designs and development workflows while adapting across different engineering roles.

About You: To be successful in this role, you'll have a good foundation of knowledge and experience around mechanical and electrical design and development. Your essential attributes and experience include:

  • Educational background in Mechatronics (or equivalent experience) with 2+ years in the field.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling (preferably Solid Edge).
  • Knowledge of PCB design (Altium), embedded systems, and communication protocols (e.g., CANbus).
  • Experience coding in C, C#, or C++.
  • Strong analytical skills with hands-on experience in testing and development.
  • Experience in high-tech environments and delivering low-volume, supportable products.
