**About the Role**
We are seeking a Senior Permissions Treaty Advisor to provide expert advice on the implementation of the Treaty of Waitangi principles in our Permissions Teams. The successful candidate will have experience working with planning and legislative processes, as well as relevant conservation legislation.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide advice to Permissions Advisors and decision makers to ensure compliance with the Treaty of Waitangi principles
- Contribute to the development of operational policy and best practice in relation to the Treaty of Waitangi
- Identify training needs and work towards a consistent national approach to train and mentor staff
**What You'll Need**
- Experience working with planning and legislative processes
- Experience working with relevant conservation legislation
- Ability to analyse complex information and produce high-quality reports and recommendations
