You will form part of a professional, supportive team where diversity and individuality are respected. You will receive training to operate as a Court Security Officer under the Court Security Act 1999 at induction training.

Your key responsibilities will include welcoming and engaging with people who enter our courts, assessing potential health, safety, and security risks, and mitigating and responding to incidents as they occur.

This is a 40-hour-a-week role with some paid overtime available when extra cover is required. You may also be required to work a minimum 4-hour shift on Saturdays.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • confidence in using technology
  • a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • a full, clean New Zealand driver's licence and a clean criminal record.
