Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the sales team to plan and review their daily activity, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to close deals effectively.
  • Mentor and develop the sales team to improve performance and achieve business goals.
  • Ensure full utilisation of our comprehensive sales data systems, including sales activity tracking and customer database maintenance.
  • Approval of sales opportunities, including assessment of any trade-ins.
  • Contribute to the sales team's success through achievement of personal sales targets.
  • Roster sales team to ensure adequate staffing levels.
  • Monitor and allocate incoming sales inquiries.
  • Ensure vehicle inventory and dealership premises are presented to the highest standard.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in the new vehicle market in New Zealand.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills.
  • High standards of personal presentation, ethics, and integrity.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire the sales team to achieve volume, profit, and customer satisfaction targets.
  • Experience working in a franchise automotive dealership is required.
