Job Overview:

This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a leadership role within our Occupational Therapy team and contribute to delivering exceptional patient care.

The successful candidate will have a strong clinical background and experience in leading teams and projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the day-to-day provision of high-quality clinical services within the Older People's rehabilitation area.
  • Contribute to daily operational planning and support service improvement initiatives.
  • Holding a clinical caseload within the Older Person's Health team.

About You:

  • A sound clinical background in a rehabilitation hospital setting (a minimum of 5 years' experience post-qualification is desirable).
  • An understanding of core business needs of Occupational Therapy service provision.
  • Previous experience in leading a team and/or project management is desirable.
  • Sound working knowledge of local, national and international health systems is strongly desired.
  • Proven experience in training and supervision of staff with the ability to foster and support the development of a team both collectively and on an individual basis.
  • Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.
  • Registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of NZ and current APC is essential (or eligibility to obtain).
