About the Role
We're on a mission to transform the way tradespeople manage their businesses and positively impact their lives. Our goal is to create a comprehensive platform for managing work efficiently and effectively.

You'll be working closely with our Research and Insights teams to uncover customer needs and co-design solutions with them. This involves gaining a deep understanding of the challenges faced by tradies and using that insight to create meaningful product experiences.


Responsibilities
- Define, design, and collaborate closely with the engineering team to bring solutions to life
- Participate in discussions about customer problems and the process to uncover a solution
- Review engineering work and fine-tune the end result to ensure the user experience is awesome

We follow a Cycles-based approach where each cycle has a dedicated team to design, develop, and test solutions. You'll be working alongside these teams, ensuring the intended experience is delivered to a high standard.


Requirements
- Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of experience in interaction design or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
- Extensive experience in a leading-edge digital or UX design company and practices
- Great understanding of concepts of interaction design, user testing, and user experience
- Strong foundation of design fundamentals such as typography, layout, colour theory, and branding
- Technical understanding of HTML & CSS, responsive layouts, and mobile app design

We're looking for someone who:

  • Focused on the quality of the user experience as much as the aesthetics of the user interface
  • Enjoys participating in a high-performance team-oriented environment to deliver sophisticated digital solutions
  • Can serve as a subject matter expert for user-centered design practices and UX design
  • Highly organised with great attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
