Your Role

We are seeking an energetic and motivated individual to join our team as a Whanau Support Worker. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with clients in their own home and community to support them in achieving their personal goals and aspirations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support clients in developing daily living skills, such as cooking, cleaning, and personal care
  • Assist clients in accessing community resources and activities, such as swimming, sporting events, arts and crafts, and shopping
  • Provide emotional support and encouragement to clients to help them build confidence and self-esteem
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive support for clients

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualities:

  • A passion for helping others and making a positive difference in their lives
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A full driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Basic first aid training (or willingness to obtain)
