As a key member of our team, you'll play a vital role in delivering cutting-edge hardware for our satellites and rockets. With direct involvement in parts design through manufacture, you'll collaborate with engineers to bring their designs to life using state-of-the-art CNC machinery.

The Machine Shop at Rocket Lab is responsible for designing and manufacturing advanced machinery across our global sites. We're looking for an experienced professional to join our team and contribute to the production of high-quality satellite components and rocket parts.

In this role, you'll be responsible for all aspects of machine setting, including vice and chuck change over, setting work coordinate systems, tool setting, loading, and measurements. You'll also monitor cutting conditions, make adjustments as needed, inspect finished parts, and perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment.

We're seeking a skilled Machinist with 3+ years of experience in aerospace or similar industries. Familiarity with Fanuc, Siemens, and Mitsubishi CNC controls is highly desirable. A high level of workmanship, excellent attention to detail, and strong record-keeping skills are essential.
