Culinary Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at our Wellington restaurant. The ideal candidate will have experience in cooking Japanese or Chinese cuisine and possess excellent food quality control and stock management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Control food quality and stock levels
  • Design and produce new dishes
  • Manage the kitchen and supervise staff
  • Assist in menu planning
  • Ensure all food safety and health and safety standards are met
  • Manage general kitchen stock and budget
  • Cost dishes out

Requirements:

  • Prior minimum 6 months experience or a formal qualification
  • A "can-do" attitude
  • Attention to detail
  • Self-motivation
  • Clean non-criminal record

Location: Wellington

Job Type: Full-time Permanent

Pay Rate: from $29.66 to $35 per hour

Days Required: 5 days/week

Hours per Week: min 30, max 50 hours
