Overview

The Vnam Kitchen, a renowned culinary institution in Rotorua, seeks a highly skilled Executive Culinary Specialist to lead its kitchen team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a talented chef to showcase their expertise, creativity, and leadership abilities.

Salary: $29.66-$32.00 per hour

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Head of Kitchen Operations to oversee the preparation and presentation of our menu items. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and hygiene.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement recipes, menus, and cooking procedures that meet the high expectations of our customers.
  • Lead a team of cooks and kitchen staff to achieve optimal performance, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and exceptional customer experience.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record as a Head of Kitchen Operations or similar role, with a strong background in culinary arts.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and handling procedures, with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards.
  • Degree in culinary arts or a related field is preferred but not essential.
