Welcome to Trico Equipment, where we're seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team As a Heavy Diesel Mechanic, you'll be responsible for servicing and repairing our range of heavy construction equipment, with a focus on delivering exceptional results and maintaining the highest level of quality.
Key responsibilities will include troubleshooting and repairing construction and earth-moving equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and graders. You'll also be responsible for conducting routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance, and keeping detailed records of services and repairs performed.
In addition to your technical skills, you'll need to demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. Experience working with apprentices would be beneficial.
We offer a competitive salary based on your skills and experience, along with a vehicle for travel to and from work. Our modern workshop is equipped with specialist tools, ensuring that you have everything needed to perform your job to the highest standard.
Working hours are 47.5 per week, Monday to Friday, with occasional call-outs as required. A NZ Diesel Mechanic qualification Level 4 or minimum of 3 years' NZ heavy diesel working experience is essential, along with proven experience working with construction and earthmoving equipment.
