The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Priory's strategic direction, upholding its values, and ensuring alignment with our organisational goals.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing oversight and guidance to the Priory Board
  • Ensuring the needs of diverse communities are represented
  • Advocating for the work of St John and promoting its values
  • Championing Tikanga Maori and Tiriti alignment strategies

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Knowledge of Te Ao Maori, Tikanga, and Te Reo Maori
  • Previous governance experience in a community or volunteer environment
  • Understanding of Hauora and oranga systems and services
  • Strong connections across iwi
  • Effective relationship development and advocacy skills
