Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A full and clean NZ driver's licence for at least 12 months or have completed an approved NZTA advanced driving course (if full licence held for less than 12 months)
  • To be 18 years of age or over
  • New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency status
  • A clean police record
  • To pass Hato Hone St John assessments - physical assessment, health questionnaire, literacy and numeracy assessments and an interview
  • To meet our Medical Standards, a summary can be found here
