About the Role

The Group Manager Capital Delivery will lead the design and delivery of the three-year rolling capital programme that delivers fit-for-purpose three waters infrastructure solutions for shareholders. This role is critical in ensuring the success of our externally procured consultancy and contractor services, as well as building strong relationships with delivery partners, driving performance, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide leadership over the capital programme, ensuring it aligns with Wellington Water's strategic goals
* Build strong relationships with delivery partners, stakeholders, and governing bodies
* Drive performance and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
* Collaborate with the Operations Leadership Group to form a strong team that ensures Wellington Water's services remain reliable, affordable, and meet community needs

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • * Significant project and programme leadership experience
    * Ability to build trust and gain buy-in from governing and external stakeholders
    * Relevant tertiary degree with a deep understanding of water engineering and engineering design principles
    * Commercial and contractual procurement and legislative acumen
    * Financial planning and budget development experience
    * Excellent relationship management skills and ability to identify and build good engagement strategies
