Job Overview

Downer holds a long-term Asset Management and Facilities Management contract with the Department of Corrections and the Ministry of Justice. This contract involves the proactive management and delivery of national portfolios, including 15 prisons, 100 courts, and 157 community correctional sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support operational duties, including plant operation, treatment management, and other water-related tasks
  • Evaluate and maintain compliance with client resource consent conditions
  • Contribute to achieving client goals for Drinking Water

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of or qualifications in water treatment systems (desirable)
  • National Certificate in Water Treatment Level 4 or higher (or willingness to train towards)
  • Knowledge of water supply systems (advantageous)
  • Valid Class 1 Driver's License
  • Computer literate with experience in data collection
  • Experience dealing with the public and potable sampling (training provided)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a collaborative, proactive, and results-oriented approach
