**Job Summary**

We are seeking a skilled Learning Facilitator to join our team at Ara Poutama Aotearoa (Department of Corrections). The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating the delivery of end-to-end rehabilitation and reintegration functions, with a focus on improving literacy and numeracy skills, work towards achieving New Zealand qualifications, and acquiring job search skills.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • DELIVER EDUCATIONAL SERVICES: Deliver high-quality educational services to support learners achieve their goals.
  • COACHING AND GUIDANCE: Provide coaching and guidance to learners to help them set and achieve their educational goals.
  • PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: Participate in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices in adult education.

**Requirements**

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Experience working with offenders in a prison environment.
  • Familiarity with e-learning environments and supporting learners to use them effectively.
  • A good understanding of assessing learning needs and developing individual learning pathway plans.
  • Previous experience working in a Kaupapa Māori or Pasifika environment.
  • Tertiary qualification and/or a qualification in Adult Education.
  • Demonstrated competency in using computer applications including Microsoft Office suite, TEC Literacy and Numeracy Adult Assessment Tools.
