**Job Description**

We're seeking a highly skilled Cloud Support Engineer to join our team. As a member of our AWS Support team, you'll be at the forefront of this transformational technology, assisting a global list of companies and developers that are taking advantage of a growing set of services and features to run their mission-critical applications.

**Key Responsibilities**

Your primary responsibility will be solving customer cases through various contact channels, including telephone, email, and web/live chat. You'll apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to provide tailored solutions for our customers and drive customer interactions by thoughtfully working with customers to dive deep into the root cause of an issue.

**A Day in the Life**

As a Cloud Support Engineer, every day will bring new and exciting challenges on the job while you:

  • Learn and use the latest technologies.
  • Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to provide unique solutions to our customers' individual needs.
  • Interact with leading engineers around the world.
  • Partner with Amazon Web Services teams to help reproduce and resolve customer issues.
  • Leverage your customer support experience to provide feedback to internal AWS teams on how to improve our services.
  • Drive customer communication during critical events.
  • Write tutorials, how-to videos, and other technical articles for the developer community.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Knowledge and experience in administration and troubleshooting across DevOps/Deployment, Orchestration Management, Containerization, Configuration Management.
  • Knowledge and experience in Continuous Integration Technology (e.g., Chef, Puppet, Docker, Jenkins, Ansible, or related tools).
  • Knowledge and experience in troubleshooting Linux or Windows issues on servers.
  • Certificate, Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Science / Information Technology, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field OR equivalent experience in a technical position.

**Preferred Qualifications**

Experience in Web and Application Server technologies including deployment and troubleshooting (e.g., Apache HTTPD, Apache Tomcat, Nginx, IIS). Experience in scripting or development using Python, Node.js/JavaScript, PowerShell, Golang or Bash. Knowledge and experience in networking including troubleshooting, HTTPS/TLS, iptables, packet capture analysis. Experience with Kubernetes container orchestration engines (e.g., Docker Swarm) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Podman, Containerd). Understand the concepts of high availability and scalable system design.
