We are seeking a Fire Systems Tester to join our team in South Dunedin. As a key member of the Johnson Controls team, you will be responsible for testing and inspections of fire systems, emergency lighting, and other specified systems to the current New Zealand Standard and Building Act requirements.

Job Description

Your main objective will be to undertake various tests and inspections to the relevant standard and company work instructions. You will also need to accurately record results of each test or inspection performed and communicate with the supervisor to ensure efficient and timely undertaking of all work.

Maintaining a high level of service and customer satisfaction is crucial in this role. You will also need to ensure that company property, such as materials, plant, tools, and equipment, are maintained in a safe and efficient working condition.

You will be required to participate in training provided by the Company and outside sources to keep abreast and ahead of developments in the industry and to improve your own skills. Additionally, you will need to promote products and services both used and provided by the company.

Requirements
  • Superior time management and attention to detail.
  • Motivation towards hands-on, physical work.
  • New Zealand residency/citizenship or a valid New Zealand work visa.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • A full clean NZ driver's license.
  • Excellent communication skills with a can-do attitude.
