Auckland, Auckland, New Zealand Mitre 10 Full time

**Our Vision**

We're a business that's passionate about helping Kiwis achieve their goals—whether they're tackling a DIY project or working in the trade. We believe in the importance of community and are committed to being a part of it.

About the Job

This is a hands-on, practical role where no two days are the same. As a Timber and Building Team Member, you'll be working closely with customers to help them find the right materials for their projects. You'll also be getting hands-on with the technical side of things—operating saws, forklifts, and other trade machinery.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Providing excellent customer service and ensuring customers leave the store with the right products
  • Operating various types of machinery, including saws and forklifts
  • Maintaining a safe and organized workspace

What We're Looking For

  • Someone with experience working in a trade yard, timber/building retail, or as a tradie looking to step off the tools
  • Good physical fitness—there's some heavy lifting involved
  • A forklift licence (F endorsement and OSH accredited) would be a distinct advantage
  • If you don't have a forklift licence, a full, clean Class 1 driver's licence is essential
  • A practical mindset—you like working with your hands and problem-solving
  • A local Warkworth connection—you live within about 30km of the store
