About the RoleThe NZ Payroll team is seeking an Assistant Payroll Lead - Distribution to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll-related tasks in accordance with company procedures and Business Unit requirements.
This role is responsible for managing day-to-day payroll activities, providing leadership and support to the payroll processing team, legislative and system guidance, advising on payroll-related projects to Fletcher Building Business Units and delivering excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
The role supports the Payroll Team Leaders in developing the payroll service delivery strategy.
About You- You will have extensive experience in payroll with complex collective employments, high volumes and complex business environments.
- Ideal candidates will be NZPPA Certified.
- You will possess the ability to perform off-system payroll calculations ensuring system configuration delivers expected outcomes.
- You will need solid experience in interpreting CEAs and IEAs to support the set up and maintenance of pay rules in time and attendance systems and managing compliance and controls across the end-to-end payroll process.
